More Fi than Sci

I've been thinking of cancelling my cable TV subscription and the Sci-FI channel is certainly making the decision easier. I really have to question their commitment to the genre when they cancel FarScape and continue to promote such psychological fakery as Crossing Over with John Edward and the Dream Team.

I do understand that science fiction is fiction. One of the reason I like it is it speaks of the great possibilities of humankind's future. On the other hand, people like John Edward are a testament to how easily humans can be duped. *sigh*

Barring ripping my cable feed out of the wall, I've done my part letting the Sci-Fi Channel know my displeasure. Their new Dream Team show invites people to send them their dreams. So I sent them this:

Hey, I had a dream in which the sci-fi channel actually showed sci-fi and not other questionable crap. Woo! What a fantasy, eh?
