Revolver Trailer (Hyphenated Edit)

This is a cut-down version of the Revolver non-movie trailer which showcases the fantastic typography effects created by Burke Heffner. Heffner is a font of acute creativity which is only tempered by the grave dullness of his day job. Even though his means are minuscule, he continues to not work on the Revolver sans-movie, in hope of a day when widows and orphans will boldly pay not to see the movie he didn't make. As Heffner would put it, "isn't it time inner-city children and spinsters learned to drop a cap instead of pop a cap?" I swear the man is as holy as St. Textualis of Rectoversum! Yet his glyphic genius is proportional only to his otherwise oblique existence period.

I can say with ascending justification this trailer begs the question: why haven't we seen more movies which prefer typographic effects over special effects? When will Hollywood realize typesetters are the next trendsetters? The suits need to be quick like a brown fox and jump over the lazy dog of "traditional media" to capitalize on this kerning issue and stop leading us on.

One step in the right direction was the greenlight for the gothic thriller Cicero: Roman of Letters starring Omar Serif and Lorem Ipsum. Unfortunately, the diacritics tracking the movie's progress have printed several column inches panning it just so they could boost their descending subscriptions. Forgive me for greeking out, but I think these people should be found dead in a foundry with ligature marks around their tattoos of Pica-chu.

Anyway, you can find out more about Revolver at the Revolver website or maybe not. I can't be sure. I'm just a dingbat when it comes to things like this.
